Neck Reflexes
: triggered by tilting (bending) or turning the neck

a) Cervicocollic reflexes: if neck pushed to one side, opposite neck muscle contracts, to restore normal neck postition, synergistic with vestibulocollic reflexes

b) Cervicospinal reflexes
*bending the neck forward==> flexion of the upper & lower extremities
*tilting the neck backward==> extension of the upper & lower extremities
*turning to right==> extension of right arm & leg (flexion of left limb)

*** Vestibular and neck afferents converge on the Vestibular Nuclei & Propriospinal Neurons
